Animal Care
The position of Animal Care is the most vital position at SNIFFERS. Animal Care staff interacts directly with the SNIFFERS guests. Animal Care staff is responsible for the feeding, housekeeping and exercise of the dogs. Animal Care sees to it that all dogs interact well with each other. Qualified Animal Care applicant’s will not only “love dogs” but will possess an understanding of dog communication and care-giving. Animal Care staff must be team players, show initiative and be hard workers. All Animal Care staff must be able to mentally and physically handle a 100 pound dog. As with all our positions dependability, punctuality and good attendance are a must. Animal Care shifts are available 7 days a week and can be scheduled between 5:00am – 11pm.
Client Care Representative
The person filling this position is the first person clients meet when calling or coming in to SNIFFERS. The Client Care Representative not only answers phones, gives tours, checks-in and checks-out guests but he/she is also responsible for creating reservations, invoices and taking payments. Qualified applicants will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be computer savvy and a multi-tasker. Client Care Representatives are also responsible for animal husbandry and regularly walk, feed, medicate, and bath dogs among other things. This person must possess a neat appearance and be an outgoing person who can juggle many balls in the air at once. As with all our positions dependability, punctuality and good attendance are a must. Client Care Representative Shifts are available 7 days a week and can be scheduled between 6:30am – 7:30pm.

We would like to thank you for showing an interest in working here. However, we have found in the past that many people do not have a very realistic view of what working in a place like this involves. Please read this letter carefully.
First, you need to understand that the primary purpose of this facility is to take care of other people’s dogs when they have to go out of town. This means that during the summer and around all holidays we are at our busiest. In addition, since this business is seasonal in nature, you can expect your hours or days to vary according to our needs. The pets must be cared for 7 days a week, so weekend and holiday work is a MUST. We realize that working under these conditions can be difficult for some people, but that is the nature of the business and your DEPENDABILITY in this area is critical.
We are seeking people who have a genuine love of animals, are mature, and accept the responsibilities we will place on them. While we focus on playing with the dogs, someone has to clean up after them, feed them, administer medications, and see to their comfort and security. This requires a lot of hard work and dedication.
We will try to make the best use of your skills and experience, but don’t expect to be exempt from the more mundane and unpleasant chores that need to be performed. Floors need to be mopped, rooms cleaned, and trash cans emptied. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. This is an ill suited position for a person who is allergic to animal hair or sensitive to chemicals.
